BUTCHER / FISH MONGER Responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation of Meat & Seafood for retail sale.
• Assist and support team members and Department Manager.
• Monitor the quality of food that is prepared and presented.
• Ensure the quality of the food items and alert manager if a product does not meet specifications.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
• Butchering skills
• Knife Handling skills
• Excellent Customer service experience
• Clean working habits

BUTCHER / FISH MONGER Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year overall experience working in kitchens
• A minimum of 2 years in a Butcher / Fish Monger role - MUST have experience in both roles
• Must have experience working with Meat handling equipment including but not limited to Grinder and/or Band Saw
• Must possess knowledge of hot to properly fillet, pin-bone, skin and portion out different fish
• Must be punctual & dependable
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Communicate effectively with all customers, co-workers, and management
• Accept and adapt easily to change
