Local Roots is a project dedicated to helping New Yorkers rediscover (or discover) their love for buying, cooking, and eating local. Job description The Operations Team Lead plays a critical role at Local Roots. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• A lead role in preparing, staging, packing, and distributing our weekly shares
• Creating, editing and printing weekly pack sheets
• Exporting orders via our web portal into Google Sheets
• Executing FIFO and keeping track of inventory
• Organizing product stored dry, cold, and frozen

Candidates must have

• An absolute commitment to punctuality and reliability
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work independently; multitask
• High level of proficiency with Google Sheets (creating complex formulas to streamline processes)
• At least 1 year of warehouse or operations experience
• A valid NY driver's license (CDL a plus, but not necessary) with a clean driving record
• The endurance to repeatedly lift items of up to 50 lbs
• Excitement for working behind the scenes in order to improve operational flow
• A passion for improving local food systems
