Stella*s PopKern (www.stellaspopkern.com), a gourmet popcorn company and dedicated to distributing high-quality products and providing excellent customer service, is looking for an Zoo Ops Manager to round out our team of dependable, self-motivated, honest, flexible and positive people at a second & third location at the renowned National Zoo. We are looking for a self-motivated entrepreneurial type seeking to advance with our company. This position will start as hourly with the opportunity to transition to salaried in one month contingent upon a favorable performance review.

 

General Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspect of staff - hire, train, schedule, conduct team meetings.

- Manage day to day operations.

- Engage with customers and devise marketing strategies.

- Maintain & promote SPK via social media outlets.

- Handle money, place orders, and prep PopKern/Beverages to sell.

- Ability to work catering jobs

- Interact with owner on daily basis
 

Requirements:

- Able to lift between 35-50lbs.

- MUST have a valid driver's license.
- MUST have a car.

- Energetic and upbeat personality to interact with customers and staff.

- Cell phone that works is a must as communication is very important.

- 2-3 years of kitchen management and/or food retail experience.

- Accustomed to fast-paced environments.

- Flexibility with schedule.

- Ability to think quickly on your feet.
