At Acabonac Farms we produce delicious 100% grass-fed, pasture finished beef delivered from our farms on Long Island to your door. We are deeply committed to transparent, humane and environmentally conscientious farming practices that work in sync with nature. We are firm believers in the importance of knowing where our food comes from and what it consists of.

Our cattle are locally finished on the beautiful Eastern End of Long Island, New York where they graze freely on non-GMO grasses. They are never fed grain and are never given growth hormones or sub-therapeutic antibiotics. We never use chemical herbicides, fungicides or pesticides on our pastures. We use an intensely managed system of rotational grazing to improve our pastures, rebuild soil health and promote healthy animal weight gains to yield a truly delicious product. We distribute our product direct to consumers online, through local CSAs and a small amount of wholesale.

Job description

Our team is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Sales, Distribution & Logistics specialist to join our growing retail team and represent our company throughout Long Island and New York City.

This person will be a point contact between Acabonac Farms and its customers as well as to develop and support our local distribution and logistics activities. This is a great opportunity for a creative, driven, outgoing person who loves food and is interested in becoming involved in the agricultural community of Long Island and joining a growing, dynamic team.

  • Assist our sales team in to develop our sales channels, including CSA, direct to consumer, and retail through partnerships with local farms, butchers and gourmet grocery stores throughout Long Island and New York City.
  • Assist in the development of our distribution and logistics network including inventory management, distribution of product, and customer support.
  • Represent our brand as an ambassador to Acabonac Farms.
  • Communicate with Acabonac Farms' Production & Sales Teams.

This job has the potential to be a full or part time position, depending on the motivation and self management skills of each individual. We are a small team that likes to get our hands dirty, learn new skills and collaborate on ideas.

Every member of the team is expected to participate in company development and be involved in production to stay informed on our ranching practices. We are looking for this role to begin immediately, upon agreement.

  • Self motivated, driven and resilient. Must keep a positive, open minded approach despite challenges.
  • Ability to self manage. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Creative and aesthetically driven perspective with a strong sense of brand development.
  • Google suite and Microsoft Office skills a must. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom a plus.
  • Strong interest in agriculture, ranching and the mission of Acabonac Farms
