GRK is currently looking for a skilled cook to support food preparation and recipe execution for our meal service. We are in the kitchen Saturday through Tuesday (see below for breakdown of hours). Applicants should have the following skills:
- Strong knife skills
- Work efficiently at large scale vegetable and herb preparation
- Understanding of balancing and building flavors in a recipe
- Basic butchering skills
- Positive and energetic and prepared to work 8-10hr shifts
- Able to receive feedback and execute good communication
- Work neatly and maintain a clean and organized station
- Understanding of food sanitation and kitchen safety
- An interest in nutrition and food as medicine
- Posses a love of good food and ambition to nourish a community
- A desire to learn and grow and strive to constantly improve their knowledge and skills
Bonus Skills and Interests
- A desire to support and create new recipes for large scale production
- An interest and love for international cuisine
Work Hours: Saturdays - Tuesdays
Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sunday: 9am- 5pm
Monday: 8:30am- 7pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am- 5pm
Compensation: 2 Week paid working interview to determine fit, skill level and appropriate compensation. Starting pay between $18-$22hr. We regularly re-asses and offer raises to employees who demonstrate their growing value and commitment to our business.
