Special Events & Marketing Assistant Summer Ops

  • Date Posted February 19, 2019
  • Location New York, NY
  • Category Culinary
  • Job type Summer Job
Company description

Summer Ops provides executive leadership, employer services, and back-office support to a group of celebrated New York restaurants and bars, including Grand Banks, Island Oyster, Pilot and two new properties opening in 2019. It manages 400+ seasonal employees for its restaurant partners as well as year-round executive and engineering teams.

Started by brothers Miles and Alex Pincus, Summer Ops and its partner restaurants have been described as a “seasonal restaurant phenomenon” (EATER) that have “changed the way New Yorkers drink and eat” (CNN). Vogue named their three New York restaurants the top three places to drink and eat outdoors in 2018. Their flagship restaurant, Grand Banks, has been named “the Absolute Best Waterfront Dining in New York City” (New York Magazine) and is consistently listed on top ten lists of things to do in New York.

A point of pride across all properties is our focus on sustainability. As a group of waterfront restaurants, we strive to do our part everyday by minimizing waste, avoiding single use plastics whenever possible and selecting sustainable seafood species for our dishes. Additionally, we support a variety of groups working in those same interests such as the Billion Oyster Project, the Maritime Foundation, the Trust for Public Land, and more.

Summer Ops is a fast-growing company with great room for growth; it offers a dynamic one of a kind work environment and is a workplace filled with enthusiastic, engaged and supportive co-workers.
