Vermont Creamery is seeking an Administrative Assistant to grow with our team!

Under direction of the Social Mission & Sales Specialist, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for all office administration. Duties include providing support to office staff and operations staff, as well as managing daily office needs.
 

Office Administration

  • Answers telephone and directs incoming calls.
  • Provides welcoming reception to visitors, vendors, and customers. Manages the sign-in process for all non-Vermont Creamery employees.
  • Greets visitors in the reception area, conducts tastings, and facilitates product purchase, including stocking on-site fridge.
  • Retrieves and sorts incoming mail and drops off outgoing mail daily.
  • Responds to email questions, concerns, etc., from info @
  • Forward or delete faxes @ email.
  • Filing as needed, such as customer credits, customer invoices, accounts payable, etc.
  • Orders office supplies and manages inventory for entire company.
  • Coordinates on-site lunches including meal plan, grocery shop, assembly of food in an appealing manner, and clean up.
  • Ensures proper supplies are available in meeting rooms and bathrooms.
  • Coordinates the schedule for meeting rooms.
  • Provides basic technical support to office team, i.e. conferencing technology.
  • Ensures the common areas are neat and organized.
  • Supports office staff projects, as needed.
  • Supports employee engagement activities, as needed.

Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft suite.
  • Must be agile and able to shift gracefully when priorities change.
  • Must be attentive to detail and have good organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player or can work independently if needed.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and actively listen.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to relate with a positive, warm and friendly manner.
  • Must have a willing attitude to learn and better the Creamery and yourself.

Education and Experience:

•          High School degree required.

•          2 years experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred.  

Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
