Job Summary
This position is ideal for someone looking to get their hands dirty, experience all aspects of a new business and have the unlimited growth potential that only a startup can offer. The Brand Manager must be organized, outgoing, and have a “big picture” mentality when it comes to product development and marketing. The is an excellent opportunity for the right person to not only gain experience in the growth of a business, but also in the new booming cannabis space. The individual we are seeking will be responsible for the strategic planning, organization, implementation and management of branding, product development, and marketing activities for Head + Heal. This individual will work with co-packers and management to develop new products. The Individual will evaluate and determine future market trends to increase sales of products and will provide leadership to increase all product line(s) market share. This individual must be able to discern market trends and guide NYHO in this direction. There will also be opportunities to develop new in house brands.
Responsibilities & Focus:
- Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturer as well as graphic designer to develop quality CBD products
- Experience bringing consumer packaged goods (CPG's) from prototype to market
- Brand development and social media
- Experience using Adobe Graphic Design Programs
- Familiarity with google analytics and search engine optimization (SEO)
- Expertise in understanding of market wants, needs and desires applicable to current and future trends within the industry and to communicate those needs to Management.
- To identify, evaluate and develop new products for market fit and develop strategy to introduce them.
- Develop short and long-term marketing strategy for each new product line.
- Monitor and implement strategies and tactics to attain the targeted number of the sales forecast.
- Create marketing plan and budget.
- Manage various marketing campaigns. This includes but not limited to email campaigns, lead nurturing campaigns, customer retention campaigns etc.
- Obtain and report metrics around various marketing campaigns.
- Inquire and determine why we are winning and losing sales opportunities.
- Implement and maintain a regular production schedule of printed materials, newsletter articles and other related marketing documents.
- Create and implement training programs aimed towards increasing our sales and technical staff in understanding the assigned market space. Alignment between sales and marketing requires that we deliver the same message to our customers.
- Attend trade shows as needed.

Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in consumer marketing, brand management, or product marketing.
- Prior experience working for a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) company.
- Position requires at least 5 years prior successful history in sales and/or product marketing in CPG.
- Experience in the natural foods/health & wellness industry is preferred.
