THE 21Acres Center and certified organic farm is located in the Sammamish Valley near Woodinville Washington.  We are a non-profit agricultural and environmental campus and a living laboratory for green and sustainable building design.  Our educational center provides our community with a whole systems approach to solving issues around food availability, small-scale food economies, environmental preservation and sustainability.  We have education, membership and volunteer opportunities, culinary classes, informational lectures, year-round Farm Market offering the very best seasonal, Organic, and GMO-free produce from local farmers and producers, and more.

21 Acres is a nonprofit organization located in Woodinville, Washington with a mission to inspire action to solve climate challenges by learning as a community to grow, eat and live sustainably.  Our Certified Organic farm is at the heart of everything we do. It’s the reason we are all here — why the land was first secured long ago as part of King County’s Agriculture Preservation Program. It is a source of inspiration for our staff, volunteers and for the entire community to embrace.  Our work revolves around the food we grow, and the farm practices that we employ to regenerate soil and contribute to climate solutions. The Farm Market advances this mission through a year-round supply of locally grown produce, dairy, grains, preserved foods and education regarding how best to participate in a sustainable food system.

Landscape & Restoration Specialist is part of the 21 Acres Campus Education Team with a focus on ecological restoration and landscape management. This team member is responsible for upkeep of rain gardens, bioswales, living roof, restoration sites, and permaculture projects.

This position will also take the lead on current and future restoration projects throughout the property, with a focus on seasonal wetland ecosystems. Leading, empowering, and working side-by-side with students and a contingent of volunteers is a major part of this job. Additionally, this position will provide critical assistance with farm and education tasks as needed throughout the growing season.

At 21 Acres we are dedicated to building awareness that soil is a vital and often-overlooked piece of combating and adapting to climate change. Our team takes a holistic approach to land management. We experiment, test ancient and new techniques, and learn from the resourceful farming practices happening on local farms.

Our new Campus Education Team will play an essential role in creating a dynamic learning and growing space that welcomes visitors, schools, and volunteers to learn alongside us.
