A family farm and delicious food. Little Ghent Farm, home of Made In Ghent LLC, is a 75 acre farm raising Animal Welfare Approved laying hens and meat chickens alongside woodland heritage pigs. We are in our fifth year of business and are still growing. In addition to our farming activities we operate a farm store and a commercial kitchen where we make bread, preserves, baked goods and food-to-go made from our products or from the wonderful local farms surrounding us. We also host entrepreneurial and creatively themed workshops with external experts which we cater and facilitate in addition to occasional farm suppers. We also rent part of our property as a farm-stay. We are dedicated to being as sustainable as possible in as many areas as possible and community is very important to us.

Job description We are looking for someone to help us in the kitchen this season. If you are passionate about food, how it is produced and why this is important this might be your new place. Experience would be really great but not essential if you have a great work ethic, are good with customers and are reliable, resourceful and responsible and want to learn. Weekend and holiday work are part of the deal as it is with most food and farm jobs so this is a pre-requisite.
