MEKELBURG'S is a craft beer bar/specialty food shop with two locations in Brooklyn (one in Clinton Hill and one in Williamsburg) offering customers unique craft beers, cheese/meats and affordable must-haves for the home cook.  We have a bar in the back with craft beer taps, a few well-curated wines and a menu of gourmet eats.

We are seeking friendly, knowledgeable people to join our specialty food team – helping customers with their shopping needs, checking them out at the register and re-stocking shelves as re-orders come in.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate genuine hospitality and deliver exceptional customer service
• Receive deliveries against invoices and purchase orders - noting, and communicating, any miss ships, substitutions or OOS from the order
• Balancing the drawers and accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during the work shift
• Answer phones and take to go orders
• Re-stock product when needed especially on delivery days; turn labels out when they become askew – this is where a type A personality comes in handy
• Ensure cleanliness standards of all refrigerators, freezers, metro-racks, counters and all shoppable areas

Weekend, holiday and evening hours will be required. We are currently seeking employees who can commit to us for at least a year.
