Job description

We are currently looking for team members for our (1) dumpling production kitchen (2) Popup and catering event line cook  (3) FOH - customer experience manager and cashier

We create good food for good people with craftsmanship spirit, and known for our fine-dining quality of dumplings with elegant presentation. If you don't know about us, we highly recommend you check out instagram or facebook. :) 

We currently partner with 6+ breweries and wineries located in East Bay, Marin, and SF to serve one-of-a-kind beer&dumpling izakaya-like dining experience.  On top of that we also have one-off private event all the time. We always cook on the site. Our line cook BOH team uses care and focus to cook our delicate dumplings, and customers have been enjoying watching us cooking the unique & elegant food that we made .

Our cooking requires attention to details, and we are proud of our food is always beautifully cooked and plated. You will have a lot of direct interaction with customers. If you like the satisfactory of cooking good food for happiness customers, and that will give you even more energy to cook the food. This line cook position will suite you very well.

We always operate as a small team and collaborative culture. We work together to provide the best customer experience. That means you will also be covering other team member’s task during the event occasionally when needed. Our event can be very busy, and you will be handling very fast-paced environment too.  However, it will be a very satisfying and fun, as we always having great customers who appreciate what we are doing. Work hard with craftmainship mind, and enjoy the beautiful moments with customers together - is always part of our culture.

 

Being our team member of line cook, you will –

  • Start as part time, Shift will be scheduled within the following time window : TUE-FRI diner time 4-10pm, and weekends 12-9pm.  Our intend is to convert you as full time.
  • Work in our open kitchen, where you have lots of chance to interact with customers.
  • You will be reading the tickets, cooking dumplings using various of cooking method. and complete the plating with your mindset of perfection.
  • Perform necessary kitchen setup and cleanup tasks such as – kitchen setup, kitchen cleaning and dish washing.
  • You will be participating some of the kitchen prep work in our dumpling production kitchen, as we require all of our team members have a basic understanding of our dumpling making process
  • Occasionally, help other team member as needed such as – run the food, talk to customers etc.
  • We have events in different places and we will require you to go to different site as needed.
  • Compensation depends on your experience, and as you "level up" in our team, we will do package adjustment accordingly.

 

[Qualifications]

  • Qualified applicants must have line Cook experience in a busy kitchen, and have open availability on either weekday nights or weekends (if you have availability for both it will be even more perfect)
  • Dumpling cooking experience is preferred but not required. We will be training you.
  • Experience working in restaurants/craft food business kitchen that require attention to detail style of the cooking is a plus(not required). Think Japanese Izakaya restaurant.
