Summary
The long-and-short of it is that we need help in the warehouse doing warehouse things on Wednesdays: packing produce into bags, taking inventory, cleaning up, and other logistics and operation things.

WAREHOUSE AFICIONADO Role Description

A Warehouse Aficionado’s core responsibility is to prepare the packing line with boxes of produce from our walk-in refrigerator, pack produce into customized orders, and take an accurate and detailed inventory of product. This position reports and coordinates tasks with the general manager. Associates must be able to use and read a scale, and basic math skills are required. They must understand the basic produce quality requirements communicated to them based on each item. Associates must be able to work independently and also as part of a team. Other responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing the warehouse & prep areas and fulfill other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Basic produce knowledge and excitement to learn more!
  • Excellent attention to detail and takes a project to completion
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75lbs
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
  • Ability to work standing for 8+ hours 
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently both alone and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with a warehouse environment
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment (38 degrees)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Produce-handling experience
  • Food handler’s safety certification (appx two-hour online course)
  • Warehouse experience
  • Packing or assembly line experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills

DRIVER Role Description

A driver is directly responsible for delivering boxes to our customers in the Seattle/Bellevue Area. You will be entrusted as the main liaison between PCH and the customer to ensure that all procedures are followed and that the highest quality of boxes is being delivered to customers. You will be expected to deliver up to 65 residential boxes, whether rain, snow, or shine. You are also responsible for ensuring that the boxes are in pristine shape, delivered to the correct address, and during the correct time window. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions (e.g. rain, snow, sleet, wind)
  • Can drive a 15-passenger van
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
  • Job Offer contingent on successful completion of background and driving record check
  • Preferred: A valid (just normal, not commercial) driver's license for at least 5 years

Schedule
  • Wednesdays, 8-10 hours; flexible-ish start time but generally around 11am, finish around 8pm or 9pm
  • Longer hours may be required on occasion.
  • Must be able to be available and willing to stay late to support the team.

Details of Position
  • You will report to the warehouse on Harbor Island in the Sodo area and drivers will deliver throughout the Seattle area using company vehicles
  • Starting pay is $17/hr with raises occurring for reliability, performance, and tenure up to $19/hr
