Company description What Cheer Fruit & Produce delivers produce grown by small organic farms in New England to restaurants, stores, and other food buyers. We work with some of the regions best-loved farms, and we deliver to some of its most respected food institutions. Job description We are hiring a Boston-based van driver for a new year-round delivery position. The routes include two or three days of CSA deliveries for two well established vegetable farms to homes in and around Boston. Once or twice a week there will be an opportunity to head out to Western Massachusetts or the Hudson Valley for some smaller pickups and/or deliveries. The position is full time, but part time work is a possibility. Knowledge of Boston geography is helpful, as is experience making deliveries. Experience working with farms is even more valuable. A driver's license is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Providing amazing customer service
- delivering produce to customers within set timelines
- loading and unloading a truck or van
- communicating with farms and food buyers
- communicating with other drivers
- maintaining a clean vehicle
- organizing paperwork received along route

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- clean driving record
- experience working on a farm or driving a delivery van
- experience juggling multiple moving pieces
- experience with order fulfillment

COMPENSATION:

$16-22/hour, depending on experience
