THIS IS YOU

While you may not have experience working in a bean to bar chocolate production or confectionary, you have experience in a kitchen or bakery and the world of craft foods is where you’re meant to be.  The process of making chocolate fascinates you and you are interested in learning everything about it from sorting beans to wrapping bars while making confections, ice cream and other goods for the retail shop.  You are an organized, self-motivated worker who is able to structure your own day and manage your time to meet your goals and are willing to learn. You are a team player; while being able to work on your own, you know that no job is too small.  You understand flavors, the flow of a busy day and are 100% available during our busiest times of the year, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the entire production process of the confections for the retail store as well as special orders and online sales.
  • Responsible for other production needs such as ice cream, tasting tiles, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping your area and utensils clean, everyone is responsible for their own dishes, we do not have dishwashers on staff.
  • Responsible for keeping track of what is needed for the daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Assisting in off-site events, outside of the regular scheduled work days and hours.


EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1 year experience in an independently-owned, craft food production environment.
  • Have been responsible for your own production schedule (i.e. a specific station in a restaurant or product in a bakery/production facility, etc.)


SCHEDULE

This is a 40 hr/week position, the specific hours and days that you work are somewhat flexible and can be negotiated.
