The role of the Install Crew Member (CM) is to facilitate installs and oversee the execution of the work order for all installs. The CM reports directly to the Installation Crew Foreman (CF). The CM may also report to Install Director (ID) when on site. The CM will be responsible for helping to build permaculture landscapes which includes water systems, hardscaping and plantings. The position requires heavy physical labor. Applicants must be physically fit with no health issues.

Upon hiring, the CM will undergo a training period ranging from 1- 3 months. You will learn our approach to water systems, earthworks, site and bed prep, planting and hardscaping construction. The training rate is $13/hr. Once the training period is completed, the CM rate will increase to $15/hr. This is an hourly position.
Once the training period is complete, the CM will be able to comfortably:

read maps

execute all phases of install as per the directive of the Install Crew Foreman and/or Install Director

contribute to the overall system efficiency

execute construction of hardscaping, water system, and planting elements

adhere to timelines and install standards and maintain professionalism and nonviolent communication at all times
- participate in helping to create food and water independence and in transitioning landscapes from water and chemical dependence to self-sustaining and regenerative ecosystems
