Market Manager Overview

Market Manager is responsible and accountable for day-to-day market operations of our 15 Greenmarket stands, that operate throughout NYC, including Union Square and Grand Army Plaza. 

Responsibilities

People: hires, trains, assign sales people to the markets and motivates them to sell.

Market Operations: ensures the market stands and transportation vehicles are properly stocked, and maintained; improves operational and financial performance.  

Products & Quality: acts as a quality control person for Body & Soul products, as well as for the market’s general appearance and cleanliness.

Sales: is accountable for financial data including daily inventory numbers and cash outs, security of funds, operational expenses, and preparation of financial reports.

Physical Requirements

• Extensive standing, without breaks
• Exposure to all kinds of seasonal weather conditions, including severe weather
• Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to drive a large cargo van
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided
• Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Required, under certain circumstances, to perform/assist all functions for all positions in the business.

The Market Manager is a salaried position paying $52,000 per year.
