Company description Rock Cobble Creamery is a small, developing dairy on a private estate in Connecticut's Northwest hills.  The farm is home to the critically endangered Randall Cattle, a New England triple-purpose landrace.  The Creamery is working to produce raw and pasteurized milk cheeses, yogurt and butter that reflect the beautiful (but rugged) and precious nature of these animals.  The herd is 100% grass-fed on carefully stewarded land, milked seasonally from March through December. The role of the operator will be to expand upon the current production model, maintaining quality and the highest standard of cleanliness.  Focus is on quality and experimentation; the facility is prototype with a loose vision.  Cleaning the facility, equipment, and packaging materials will be a large portion of the role, as well cutting and packing cheeses, labeling yogurt, and bottling milk.  As an operator, some experience in dairy processing is required, but an experienced cheesemaker is on staff to assist as needed.

 

This is intended as a full-time position, but could be structured as a part-time role if desired.  Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $15.00 - $25.00 Application instructions
