As the Kitchen Manager, you will:
- Ensure all Back of the House Team members are properly trained and following RELENTLESS standard
- Know and comply with RELENTLESS KITCHEN standard
- Complete weekly inventory
- Work with the Staff to control waste and labor for the kitchen
- Understand how to open and close the kitchen and follows all kitchen station checklists
- Work closely with the Director Operations and Restaurant Manager in the development of the Back of the House Team members
- Prepare weekly schedule for the Back of the House
Our Kitchen Managers need to:
- Possess the highest quality of food standards both in cooking methods and presentation.
- Stand and/or walk for an entire shift – From bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members
- Show and provide effective leadership and problem solving skills
- Provide a strong, detailed orientation to all back of the house team members
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter.
- At least 2 years Kitchen manager experience in a similar capacity. High volume experience a must.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, vendors, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
- Be able to lift, reach, bend, stoop and safely lift and easily maneuver items frequently weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Be able to walk and be “on your feet” for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Extensive knowledge of food safety concepts and practices. Servsafe certification preferred.
- Must have extensive cost of goods and P&L experience.
- Must be a dynamic, positive, and charismatic leader.
- Must adhere to the established appearance guidelines.
- Microsoft Office (excel) ability preferred.
- Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
