Acme Smoked Fish Corp is looking for an experienced Marketing & Social Media Coordinator. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing programs. The successful candidate will actively manage Acme's social media platforms, assist in the management of marketing collateral materials and sales presentations, assist in trade shows' preparations, track existing marketing campaigns and report on results, and work closely with Senior Marketing Manager on all marketing activities including events, tastings or other initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Overall, assist with the execution of company marketing activities.
  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) by creating and reviewing with Sr. Marketing Manager monthly content calendars, and posting on a timely and relevant basis. This person will need to stay current with food industry and competitors, and maintain a social media presence interacting with social media influencers/leaders. Will need to be pro-active and reactive in a timely manner.
  • Prepare/Update presentations for Sales Force (with help from graphics designer)
  • Assist in the management of company and product content on company website, customer portals, and marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate Trade Show needs for Acme team and booth needs (e.g., personnel registration, booth marketing materials preparation, booth decor and propping, etc.)
  • Be available as a resource for senior marketing professionals/management and sales staff.
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather and analyze important data (social media, web analytics, etc.)
  • Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends.
  • Assist in the organizing of promotional activities/events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
  • Organize and host presentations and customer visits
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in and help coordinate packaging revisions and/or development

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years' experience working in marketing or related field, ideally in a CPG or food company
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind. Entrepreneurial.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. Must have excellent writing skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google AdWords, etc.)
