Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Events Manager who is passionate about cultivating community and providing exceptional hospitality. Applicants should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, friendly and unafraid to get their hands dirty. This position is an incredible opportunity to contribute to the local food and beverage scene in one of Brooklyn’s most vibrant neighborhoods.  

 

Day to day, our events manager will work on all aspects of maintaining and growing our events programming, including:

 
  • Booking and coordinating programming for our beautiful events space
  • Curating and growing our diverse public events programming
  • Coordinating reservations for large gatherings in our public dining room
  • Collaborate with the management team, including front of house, kitchen, beverage and catering
  • Collaborating with catering chef on menu planning for events
  • Lead our talented events staff (assisting with hiring and training as needed)
  • Create promotional content for our social media accounts, monthly newsletter and website
  • Collaborate with our Catskills location on select events (1-5 annually)
  • Contribute to the FOH staff, including general administration and assistance with floor coverage
  • Maintain records and paperwork for booking sales
 

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have 1+ years experience coordinating events.
  • Be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading a conversation whether written, on the phone or in-person
  • Enthusiastically engage with our diverse, vibrant clients
  • Be meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Be fluent in common social media platforms
  • Have flexible night and weekend availability
  • Be willing to contribute to all aspects of our events program
  • Quickbooks experience a plus but not required
Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
