We are looking for a Content Writer/ Social Media Community Manager to join our small, nimble and quickly growing team at Plantable. Plantable is a fast-growing wellness platform that restores health and well-being. We bring plant-based meals, education and 1:1 support together to transform the way our customers look and feel.

The ideal candidate is based in New York City and be available to work with us in our WeWork office space in the Financial District. This role will initially be part-time (~20-30 hours/week). The Content Writer/ Social Media Community Manager will work both independently — planning, executing, and drawing insights from social posts — and collaboratively with our team, concepting and creating new assets.

 

The ideal candidate has proven record of successfully managing a social community, with a can-do attitude, excellent writing skills, attention to detail and a passion for health-forward food. We love working with great people so exceptional team and interpersonal skills are required!

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

• Build and grow our online community by proactively connecting with users on social platforms (we currently use Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, a private Facebook community for members-only, and Medium), as well as podcast platforms

• Respond to replies, comments, and mentions on brand posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Medium 

 

2. ASSET MANAGEMENT

• Maintain content calendar, scheduling and posting regular content

• Write captions for paid and organic posts and align them to the brand voice 

• Identify and solicit permission to post user-generated images, partner images, and on-brand photos


3.COPY WRITING

•Write, edit, and proofread copy for promotional and other marketing materials

•Develop email campaigns and work with the Marketing Manager to maximize messaging effectiveness

•Ensure consistent brand messaging, voice, and tone across all communications

•Assist in brainstorming topics to engage our community each week

 

 

Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
