Retail Staff Accountant Partners Coffee

Job description

We are looking for a full-time Retail Accountant for the day to day accounting and bookkeeping tasks associated with our Retail business.

 

Our ideal candidate is friendly and professional, highly organized and self-motivated with strong time management skills. They will have prior accounting experience and preferably have worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry as an accountant or manager. This position reports to our CFO.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Process all vendor payables and manage AP
  • Reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Monitor and process all expenses
  • Monitor and process all cash receipts for café sales
  • Input and monitor inventory
  • Chair meetings to provide sales and p/l information for Retail Department
  • Issue monthly budgets
  • Contribute to weekly and month end close out financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow)
  • Daily use of accounting programs such as Quickbooks and Plate IQ, scheduling software such as When I Work and Square point of sales
  • Manage petty cash
  • Compile payroll data such as uniform allowances, tips allocation, garnishments, vacation time, insurance and other deductions
  • Process weekly transfer of payroll data to ADP

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience using Quickbooks Enterprise – advanced level
  • Excel Suite proficiency – advanced level
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory accounting  
  • Clear communication skills and a positive can-do attitude
