Company description Hosta Hill produces raw, fermented vegetables mixes from local organic vegetables, and is based in Pittsfield Massachusetts. We pride ourselves in making unique, high quality, delicious, health giving foods. This past year has seen many changes including a move to a larger facility and investment in new processing equipment.  We are looking to grow our production team with reliable, team oriented folks. Job description Help take Hosta Hill to the next level.  This coming production season we will be processing more vegetables than we have ever processed before, and we need YOUR HELP to do it!  

The Job:

• One-two days/week (currently Fridays, we will pick up a second day when production picks up)
• Start at $13/hr DOE

Responsibilities include:

• Packing/lidding/labeling vegetable recipes into jars
• Processing raw vegetables into ferment recipes (both handwork with a  knife and using commercial processing equipment).
• Working with commercial processing equipment

Expectations:

• Work well in a team environment
• Need to be able to stand all day
• Lift 50 lbs
• Be able to show up reliably week to week
• Some experience with food handling preferred
• Knife handling experience is a plus
