Pond Hill Farm is a northern Michigan agricultural tourism destination that started as a vegetable farm in 1995. It has since become a unique community ecosystem by adding an expansive canned goods product line, a full service lunch café, a winery with seven acres of vineyards, and a brewery. This has created an environment that attracts tens of thousands of customers each year who come from all around the country to enjoy the experience.
Job description Responsibilities
● Greets all customers and serves as a knowledgeable guide for the farm, farm products, farm events and activities, and the local community
● Serves food and beverages primarily at the wine, beer, hard cider tasting room bars during lunch, afternoon and event service hours; secondarily serves food and beverages in the dining room
● Responds to customer needs and inquiries, and assists with food and beverage selections
● Records customer orders, and accurately enters orders into POS system and performs credit card and cash transactions in a timely manner
● Directs and assists bus staff to clean and set tables, performs bus and host duties in absence of bus and host staff, and assists fellow bartenders and servers
● Performs opening, closing and re-stocking procedures
● Performs server side work such as sweeping, disposing of rubbish, positioning tables and chairs, rolling silverware, maintaining server station, and maintaining service areas and bathrooms
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have valid TAM certification or successfully complete certification within one week of hire date

Ability to multi-task in fast pace environments with a positive attitude
Excellent decision making, problem solving and organizational skills
Professional, conscientious, calm and team oriented

Compensation and Benefits
● Schedule: Seasonal – hiring for June starts dates. Variable hours of 14 to 35 a week between 10:00am and 7:00pm, 2 to 5 days a week (weekdays, weekends, holidays and early evenings); occasional hours during later evenings.
● Pay: $10.00/hour plus tips
