Soul Cocina is a Plant-based Company with a core focus on creating innovative and dynamic plant based. By bringing together wholesome and nutritious ingredients, we honor age-old traditions and cooking techniques to create unique combinations. Our recipes are characterized by innovative experimentation; drawing inspiration from our Latin-American roots and continuously scanning different facets of the earth for new ideas and inspiration.
Soul Cocina is a small family business located inside Blue Dogwood food hall in Chapel Hill, our food is plant based & inspired by our Latin roots. We're looking for an enthusiastic person to help us with light food prep, food serving, ringing up orders and occasional farmers markets.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, attention to cleanliness and detail and superb time management
Responsibilities and requirements
- Previous experience in food is not required, though some experience in cooking is preferred (enthusiastic home cooks welcome)
- Ability to work in a fast paced-environment
- Maintaining the highest level of food safety and sanitation
- Exhibiting a desire to build a community around food and food service
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds
- A team player with a willingness to jump in and help with all tasks. A self-starter and hard worker
- A diligent approach to safety and sanitation
