Company description
Our location in the upper Hudson Valley is the epicenter of a growing and important food culture in New York state. Our relationships with our farmers are like family...or what you wish your family relationships would be!!! We work closely with our providers and can make requests for future plantings based on what we'd like to see on our future menus. We have access to small batch production of cheeses, cured and fresh meats that rarely find there way to the city. We are in the center of the artisan food movement.

benGABLEsavories began as a kitchen table business in Brooklyn NY in 2006 making quiche and savory tarts in small batches. After six years of selling wholesale to a handful of cafes and specialty food shops, the decision was made to move upstate. In 2013 we established the cafe "benGABLEsavories", on Central Square in Chatham NY. We continue baking our savories, but now with the best local dairy, produce and meats.

benGABLEsavories, has quickly become part of village life in Chatham NY. In addition to offering carefully crafted food, we serve Stumptown coffee and teas by In Pursuit of Tea. We are conveniently located 20 minutes west of Hudson NY and 25 minutes east of Great Barrington MA.
