Job description

Food Crush Hospitality,  founded by and under the direction of acclaimed chef and restaurateur Dale Talde, is seeking talented Bartenders to be a part of the opening team at our new Tarrytown location, Goosefeather, set to open this summer. 

 

Residing within the historic King House Mansion, Goosefeather sits nestled atop the sheer bluffs overlooking the Hudson River as part of the sprawling Tarrytown House Estate which occupies more than 25 pristine acres of New York’s famed Hudson Valley. We will be offering traditional Cantonese and Hong Kong style cuisine that showcases modern technique and locally sourced ingredients to provide a bill of fare that at once pays a fine homage to its culinary forebears while remaining wholly satisfying and original.

Prospective team members should possess this same desire to provide an exceptional hospitality experience for our guests, in addition to an enthusiasm to continuously  learn, expand, and further develop those skill sets necessary to providing Food Crush’s particular brand of best-in-class service.

 

As a Bartender you will be the custodian of the full Food Crush experience, as such you should possess the following :

 

∙1-2 years experience bartending in a high volume, casual fine dining, or fine dining setting.

∙Experience with app-based and traditional POS systems.

∙Excellent communication skills, both verbal and the ability to thoughtfully listen. 

∙Experience using a standard array of bar tools.

∙A command of classic cocktails and their attendant culture.  As well as spirits, craft beers, and a strong working knowledge of old and new world wines. 

∙The ability to operate efficiently and calmly through high volume service situations, both independently, and as part of a team. 

∙Food safety knowledge. 

∙Knowledge of traditional steps of dining and bar service. 

∙Basic knowledge of coffee and tea service. 

∙The desire to cultivate a unique and exceptional experience for each of our guests time and time again.

∙A warm, positive demeanor and a commitment to excellence.
