FOH Manager for Vegan Restaurant Follow Your Heart

Company description Located in Canoga Park since 1970, the atmosphere of this vegetarian establishment is both comfortable and casual. Some have described it as a trip back into the ‘70s, but we prefer to think of “The Heart” simply as a place where people can be themselves. It’s one of those places that will start to feel like home after a while and many of our customers can be seen dining on a daily basis.Our home-style comfort food is modestly priced and the portions are generous. The menu is Vegan-vegetarian, meaning that we include some dairy products, but use no meat, poultry, fish or eggs. The menu is Vegan by default, but we do offer dairy options on some of the items. We use seasonal, Non-GMO and Organic ingredients.  We also offer an exclusively gluten-free menu as well as a Soy-Free menu and a SOS Free menu upon request.In addition to our regular menu, Our hearty soups are one thing that we are particularly known for and several are offered throughout the Job description Front of House Manager needed for Vegan restaurant. 

Looking for:
-3+ years of Manager experience in a full-service environment AND/OR multiple years front of house experience 
-Strong passion for guest interaction and providing impeccable service on the floor
-Must have a great eye for detail and ability to effectively coach and lead team members
-Effective communication, delegation and the commitment to grow and develop talent
-Professional maturity, sense of urgency and the constant desire to achieve excellence
-Entrepreneurial spirit, creative drive and savvy marketing awareness
-Proficiency in computer skills, POS systems, scheduling, ordering platforms and software

Proficient understanding of:
Decision Making, Strategic Planning, Labor/Scheduling, Training & Team Development, Quality Focus

Responsibilities include:
-Oversee all aspects of front of house restaurant operations to ensure excellence in guest service, hospitality and food quality
-Provide effective leadership for all front of house staff members by being engaged in daily operations, providing direction and support to achieve goals
-Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest and direct communication
-Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and perform needed repairs and maintenance in a timely manner


Compensation:
-Salary $52,000 per year.
-Health/dental/vision insurance, store/restaurant discount, 401k & profit sharing.
