Established organic landscape design, installation, and organic maintenance company providing organic care to our clients throughout the greater bay area seeking:

• Experienced Edible/Ornamental Gardener - Part time

2 - 5 Days per week.
Pay rate is $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. 

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who will maintain great client relations; motivated; hardworking; works well independently/self-directed, willing and able to follow instructions and work as a part of a small team; have a willingness to learn and share knowledge; be detail-oriented; reliable; on time and efficient. 

Expected job duties: Organic care of client vegetable gardens, fruit trees, perennial edibles including: harvesting, succession planting, crop planning and management, organic pest control, organic fertilization, skilled aesthetic pruning, deadheading, troubleshooting and repair of drip irrigation systems, garden clean up using a rake and gas-blower, weeding, safe loading and driving of truck. 

REQUIREMENTS 

- Applicants will need a valid CA driver's license, clean DMV record, a working cell phone, and appropriate work attire 

- Can work independently and as part of a small team of 2-3 gardeners 

- Good communication skills 

- Love growing food and being outside all day… rain or shine! 

- Be physically fit 

- Be able to safely lift and carry heavy or awkward loads up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks 

- Have a basic familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment 

- Plus if you have a vehicle you can use to transport yourself as well as plants and tools to jobsites occasionally. 

-1-2 Years experience with skilled aesthetic garden maintenance care 

-Experience with identification and organic treatment of basic plant diseases and pests 

-Ability to troubleshoot and repair drip irrigation systems 

-Excellent verbal and written communication
