Job Description: Assistant Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant Managers are an essential part of Caboose’s front of the house team. As senior staff, they are relied upon to oversee the restaurant for select shifts each week. The primary focus of the assistant manager is to learn the fundamentals of running the restaurant from a management perspective. By working management shifts, these team members will develop the leadership, problem solving, and cross functional skills to improve restaurant operations and help with their own career goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work assigned shifts as a floor manager,
  • Work as a team with fellow management staff, both FOH and BOH, to ensure the

restaurant runs smoothly.

  • Make sure guests are happy, food and drinks are delivered in a timely manner, and the

restaurant is kept clean and organized throughout the shift.

  • Assist all staff as needed throughout the shift; seat tables, serve food, take drink orders,

wash dishes, prep food, or any handle any other needs that arise during the shift.

  • Keep an eye on the floor to make sure things are going well, keeping an eye out for

guest concerns such as service delays or complaints.

  • Work with service staff to effectively handle issues or complaints to ensure the guest

does not leave unhappy.

  • Handle all comps, following standard guidelines and procedures.
  • Check all closing duties to ensure everything is clean and set up for the next shift.

Senior Staff Member

  • Help senior management with any staff or restaurant initiatives underway, such as promotions or team goals.
  • Share ideas and insights with management to improve customer service and overall restaurant operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent education level.
  • Course training in hospitality administration or related field.
  • Stable work history.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • Management experience in retail and customer service.
Compensation this position is : salaried, varies DOE, $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 Application instructions
