Night Owl Baker out of Montauk uses a centuries old 86 hour fermentation process to produce a true sourdough loaf without bakers yeast. Producing a loaf that is delicious and nutritionally beneficial for gut health.
While bread can be thought of as a high glycemic food, Lactic Acid bacteria in Night Owl True Sourdough actually reduces starch availability and lowers glycemic responses.
The Lactobacilli also delivers more mineral availability – especially potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), phosphorus (P), and Zinc (Zn).

Night Owl Baker is presently sold in local farmers markets and a handful of retailers and we are looking to increase production.
Job description
We are looking for a committed part-time person to help with most aspects of the business, with the ability to grow into full time. The ideal candidate will be available to help with baking, packaging and shipping the bread at our production facility from 6-10pm on Tuesdays and 7:30 to 4pm on Wednesdays. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company with potential to grow.
