Company description We are a small “Wants and Needs” based general store in BedStuy. We offer prepared foods, fresh produce, grocery items and natural products. The entire store is only 300 sq ft and the kitchen is a sliver of that. We have a very basic set up: (oven, croc pot, hot plate, panini press, warmer) so simple but inspired grab and go foods is the focus. Our ideal candidate would be a creative and resourceful person who can take the lead on seasonal menu planning and execution. 20-30 hours a week, including weekends. We’re eco and earth conscious so reducing waste and packaging is a big ethos. Supporting local and artisanal products and shifting to farm sourced produce is a path we’re leaning towards as well.

Job description Our hours are 8-8 divided between two 7 hour shifts. You would be responsible for making breakfast burritos, small scale lunch and dinner items and other inventive grab and go foods, brewing coffee, serving customers and occasionally receiving inventory.
