Job description We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to help us maintain live inventory at all 6 of our retail locations. This position is perfect for the person who thrives on detail, organization and accuracy
The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee and complete final vendor invoice commitments to company inventory system for quantity & price. Handle all receiving issues relating to UPC/Bar code changes, alternate ID’s, perform some data maintenance, and resolve any receiving problems or discrepancies identified by the store receivers on a “same day” basis.
Some duties and responsibilities include
- Perform final commits on all invoices with or without a PO for qty and price and ensure the accuracy in quantity and price being received on a same day basis
- Resolve problems and discrepancies identified by the stores on a same day basis and commit invoices as soon as possible thereafter.
- Work closely with Accounting and send invoices and key information along to them
- Communicate with the stores for timely invoice commitment and to ensure accurate results of Inventory Spot Checks, Negative On-Hands, “Zeroes and Ones”
- Runs daily open ring report and corrects items in the no- scan section
- Contacts Buyers to ensure retail pricing is consistent and in line with margin % targets
- Assists with physical inventory activities for select departments as needed and ensures reporting accuracies
- For the candidate who is flexible with an ability to learn, communicate and lead automation, this position will likely evolve into a higher level database management position.
