Job description

As a short order cook, specifically a position hired for the kitchen area at Liza’s, your day to day responsibilities and duties entail food prep, food handling, dry stock, liquid stock, following Liza’s recipes to then serve breakfast and lunch items to our amazing customers! We serve brunch every weekend as well. Liza’s is an open kitchen concept so the ability to work in a team setting is a must, while also ensuring outgoing and positive customer service. All of our offerings at Liza’s are gluten free and dairy free - sourcing fresh, local, organic whenever possible and high quality ingredients from local farms, distributors and retail vendors. Our offerings are made from scratch, using minimal, mindful, conscious and real ingredients!

  • Take initiative during down time to help co-workers with on-shift day-to-day cleaning tasks
  • Follow direction and instructions from Kitchen Coordinator and/or Manager on duty
  • Knowledge and ability of Liza’s POS system 
  • ServSafe certification
  • Weekend availability 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prep fresh vegetables for day-of service and next-day service 
  • Follow inventory sheets and ensuring that orders are placed on time 
  • Keep a clean and sanitized work station
  • Prepare food orders in a timely fashion with care while following our product quality expectations 
  • Follow Liza’s recipe book to execute consistent product 
  • Understanding and knowledge of ingredients
  • Wash dishes 
Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $13.00 - $16.00 Application instructions
