Job description
University of Maine Cooperative Extension invites applications for a part-time (32-hour per week) fiscal-year, soft-money, federally funded Nutrition Education Professional for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). This position will be based on the University of Maine Campus in Orono, Maine. The position will supervise, manage, train and assess performance of 6-10 Community Nutrition Education Assistants (CEAs) who directly deliver EFNEP in the Central and Downeast regions of Maine. The position will coordinate UMaine Extension EFNEP’s social media presence through educational posts and program promotion and work to connect EFNEP with agencies and/or programs in their county that serve a similar audience, and support policy, systems and environmental (PSE) changes that complement the direct education of EFNEP CEAs to improve the health of Maine’s low-income families and youth. The typical hiring range for this position is $31,200 - $32,800 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
