Job description

Planning

  • Prepare production schedules and budget for all the markets
  • Execute designers and design deliverables for markets
  • Coordinate approvals with Landlord & other constituents
  • Bid projection subcontracts and control costs
  • Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules and contract requirements
  • Coordinate with leasing, marketing, and accounting departments
  • Prepare site layout, utility needs and operational design for public market

 

Construction

  • Liaise with City & Landlords re: on-site work & site protection
  • Supervise sub-contractors on-site for construction trades
  • Supervise direct hires for decorations, clean-up, etc.
  • Oversite and execution of designs for public markets

 

Operations

  • Hire & manage porters & customer concierges to clean & maintain sites
  • Negotiate & manage service contracts for hospitality, waste, and facility support
  • Assist vendors with production needs
  • Availability for operational site support on an as needed basis; on a team providing 24/7 support when markets are active

 

Desired Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in event production or related fields
  • Very strong supervisory and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of transport, construction trades and trade services for public markets
  • Proficient w/ Excel, Word, basic design software a plus
  • Ability manage small to large event installation and construction work
  • Problem solving “can do” attitude

 

Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
