We are hiring a full-time Chocolatier who is detail-oriented, hard-working and has a love for all things chocolate. The candidate is passionate about practicing and honing their skills in the kitchen to create delicious ganaches. You will be working closely with the Head Chocolate Maker and Plant Manager to create chocolate treats that highlight our unique dark chocolate line.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you will have the opportunity to do many different tasks related to chocolate making and chocolatier work, as well as keep production logs up-to-date following all state and federal protocols for a food facility.

  • Adhere to strict safety standards and follow proper machinery, food safety, and quality procedures.
  • Learning and perfecting skills necessary to work with our chocolate
  • Consistently producing high-quality products that meet Parré standards
  • Working quickly, neatly, and efficiently, keeping all workstations clean and organized
  • Completing tedious tasks in a timely manner without sacrificing quality and losing focus
  • Becoming well versed in the intricacies and details of creating each of our chocolates
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required

Previous experience or education in chocolatier, chocolate maker, candy maker, or other culinary professional position is required.


Qualities of an ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 years of experience in chocolatier work
  • Work well as an individual contributor and with the core team
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow directions, be able to perform detailed work quickly,accurately, and consistently
  • Positive attitude, good at multi-tasking and time management
  • Passionate about creating happiness for our customers
  • Creative and artistic
  • Maintain and follow food safety procedures
  • Appreciates chocolate and small-batch production
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing on your feet for up to 8 hours
  • Working in rooms of varying temperature, performing repetitive tasks.
  • Fluent in English and able to work in the U.S.
  • Ideal candidate would be located within 30 minutes of the facility

Salary Starting at $17/hour

Job Type: Full-time
