Company description MatchaBar is a Matcha cafe & company founded by two brothers in Brooklyn, New York. MatchaBar opened its flagship—the country's first specialty matcha cafe—in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2014. In 5 short years, the team has opened 3 cafes and taken both a bottled & canned product to the national market. Job description This position will be responsible for all digital content, from social media content to digital advertising. The full-time position will spearhead art direction, but also execution of short productions of photo and video content for digital channels. This position is expected to design marketing graphics, materials, SWAG, and experimental brand activations.

Design:
• Works with the sales team to understand needs from sales materials, digital graphics, small updates to packaging, etc.
• Works with the marketing team to execute digital content for social media, digital advertising, and lifestyles content.
• Works alongside marketing and executive team on experiential and lifestyle content.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite. 

Art Direction:
• Concept and spearhead development of art direction surrounding product lines and launches.
• Directs photoshoots for social channels.
• On-site for major brand activations to oversee digital content creation.

Staff Management:
• Working with community manager to execute social media strategy and execute content.
• Working with freelance photographers on photoshoots.
• Working alongside marketing lead to execute the needs of the marketing department.
• Working alongside executive and marketing on product launch, and a major campaign in all content creation needs from photo to video.

Essential Functions:
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics, which inspires team members to meet and exceed standards.
• Communicates information effectively and efficiently
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.
• Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress.
• Maintains general knowledge of Company concepts, location, management team, etc.
• Ability to utilize traditional software programs such as Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and any additional systems as needed; Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Participates in community events and ensures corporate social responsibility goals of the company are met.
• Ensures that all staff are compliant with Company’s policies and procedures, as well as city, state and federal laws
• Attends mandatory meetings including staff meetings, leadership meetings, etc.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the CEO.
• Maintains knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

Work Experience Requirements:
• 4-5 Years background in social media creative (either in house or agency on CPG brand)
• Adept in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Indesign
• Strong camera/video skill
• Proficient in creating still, GIF and video content for social media and digital ads.
• Experience in product photography, studio photography and lifestyle photography.
• Understanding of web development (basic) to the effect of managing web designers on a freelance basis. Compensation this position is : salaried, varies DOE, $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Application instructions
