The Floor Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer services, overseeing the operation of the store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising and employee management. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting department managers and overseeing hourly employees, and ensuring staff is providing excellent customer service while following Provisions set safety and health rules. It is the Floor Manager’s responsibility to make sure the store is clean, well organized and properly merchandised. 

Principal Responsibilities:

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes: greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding customer service standards, solid product knowledge 

• Establish and maintain a positive work environment following the rules laid out in our company handbook

• Have knowledge about all aspects of the store, all products sold and services provided by each department, and the ability to speak clearly to guests about said knowledge

• Implement our plans to maximize sales, and meet or exceed goals and objectives

• Supervise the Floor: Making sure all shelves are stocked, service counters are full and well displayed, signs are in place and if not they are created, staff are working efficiently, while paying attention to shrinkage and waste

• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures both internal and as defined by city and state agencies

• Responsible for everything concerning the registers and cash safe when cash manager is not available. Responsible for overseeing cash manager.
• Giving buyers feedback from customers and ideas for in-store demos
• Creating displays, making gift baskets, home delivery and any special orders if department managers are not on-site
• Facilitate online order fulfilment and deliveries. 

• Any other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or AGM 

This is a full time exempt position at maximum 40h per week. The Floor Manager reports directly to the  Assistant General Manager and the General Manager.
