Job description

Joe Van Gogh is seeking an experienced Bakery Manager for our Durham Woodcroft location. This is a full-time salaried position and is eligible for benefits and paid leave after a 90-day probationary period. Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years baking and pastry experience, and at least 1 year of proven management experience.

This position will report to the Culinary Director and will work collaboratively with the Production Lead. This is an active management position, with a minimum of 30 hours per week dedicated to on-the-floor production.

Responsibilities will include personnel management and documentation, monitoring sales and adjusting  pars as needed, ordering and inventory control, financial analysis of bakery and kitchen programs, creating and overseeing production schedules, monitoring quality and presentation of JVG products, and  training and mentoring staff on baking and pastry techniques and methods.
