When it first opened for business in 1938, Kee Wah was only a small neighborhood grocery store in Hong Kong on Shanghai Street in Yau Ma Tei. With the hard work and perseverance of Mr. Wong Yip Wing, the founder, and his workers, the business began to grow in size, diversifying to include other products such as bridal cakes, mooncakes and pastries. Meanwhile with its strict adherence to quality, the Kee Wah brand gradually gained a solid reputation and has became synonymous with quality.

Rare opportunity has opened up at our Cupertino kitchen for a production baker.

Requirements

• High volume artisan baking experience
• Experience with mixing cake batters and baking cakes in a commercial setting
• Ability to move, lift and handle equipment, supplies and other objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Available to work weekends

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Measure and mix ingredients with precision
• Follow recipes and established procedures
• Monitor oven temperature and baking times
• Ensure high quality and consistent products
• Keep kitchen and work area clean and organized
• Ensure correct quantities are being prepared daily and work with the team to plan production schedule and prioritize tasks
