Preserve Life aims to setup a certified organic farm which is located within an upcoming holistic wellness center that is being established by Preserve Life Corporation. Located in the rural countryside of the Chattahoochee Hills region southwest of Atlanta, Preserve Life aims to deliver a wholesome wellness experience to its guests by incorporating a Farm-to-Plate nutrition center. The two major components of this endeavor will be to serve fresh organic produce to its guests daily; as well as to market the produce across the region.

Preserve Life is seeking an experienced and passionate Greenhouse Operations Manager to lead our team. We are in the process of establishing a 50,000 square foot Class-A greenhouse facility with the purpose of growing organic produce for the southeast region. This role will manage all aspects of crop production to achieve and surpass company yield and quality expectations. The Operations Manager will report to the leadership of Preserve, oversee several direct reports and work closely with the staff to run a smooth and efficient operation.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or Related Field
• 5-10 years’ experience in management role in commercial greenhouse production
• Experience in Controlled Environment Agriculture
• Understanding of all aspects of crop production and post harvest handling 
• Experience with climate control software 
• Understanding of Organic Systems Management 
• Ability to thrive at work under minimal supervision/direction
• Available to work weekends and work flexible hours as required

The ideal candidate:

• Master’s Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or Related Field
• Commercial production experience in controlled environment agriculture
• Commercial production experience in leafy greens and herbs
• Significant high tunnel production experience
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
• Extremely well organized
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with business intelligence systems
