Company description Neighborhood shop in the East Village with twelve rotating taps and a curated selection of cheese and charcuterie, gourmet products, fresh bread, and craft beer. Job description We are looking for someone to join our team at Alphabet City Beer Co!  Regular shifts will be Wednesday through Saturday from 11am - 6pm/7pm (30+ hrs / week), plus the opportunity to pick up additional shifts on an as-needed basis.  An applicant MUST be passionate about beer and customer service!  Restaurant/bar experience is definitely an asset, but we are happy to train someone who is looking to start a career in food & beverage.

Weekday day-bartending shifts are more retail-focused with a lot of time spent in front of the bar receiving orders from distributors, stocking shelves, assisting customers with beer selections, while also, of course, serving any bar customers.  Weekend day-bartending shifts are busier with most time spent behind the bar.  With both on-premise and off-premise sales, an ideal candidate is a hard worker who is self-motivated. 

We are truly a neighborhood bar with great regulars, and want to find someone who understands and enjoys that the bar is important as a meeting place for the surrounding community.   Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions Deadlineno deadline
