We are looking for a motivated, self-starting, student or postgraduate to contribute to our sales team. This part-time position supports the development and growth of sales at The Great American Turkey Co. (GATC). This role combines brand ambassador, merchandising, demoing and some field sales activities. As a young, but growing brand, the brand ambassador will actively support in-store promotional and merchandising campaigns, participate in sales demos and trade shows; and support/coordinate with consumer show marketing teams. This is position will require regular weekend work combined with weekdays. Flexible schedules are ideal.


Qualifications

  • Must be located in Cleveland (high concentration of accounts in the area) and available to work weekdays and most weekends., including Friday
  • Applicants should have a strong interest in the world of CPG (consumer packaged goods), consider themselves organized, and be ready to help where needed. This role will give you a chance to develop your sales skills and learn how to build a clean meat brand in New York City.
  • In college for Business, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent education and experience)
  • Extroverted, outgoing personality; high energy with exceptional relationship building and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Imaginative/creative, with a high level of initiative, flexibility, and tenacity; strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking, analytical and time management skills
  • Strong team player, demonstrated an ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals
  • Tech-savvy – have strong technical skills and understand how to use tech skills for sales purposes
  • Access to a reliable vehicle or other means of travel

Primary Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and represent the Company core values
  • Understand and communicate The Great American Turkey Co. brand message
  • Ensure all products are featured and displayed as agreed/expected in-store (facings, pricing, display)
  • Provide samples, product information and/or demos/training for store staff as required
  • Manage own inventory of The Great American Turkey Co. product (for samples, demos, etc.)
  • Collect information and provide feedback on the local marketplace (competitor activity, distribution issues, pricing)
  • Develop and foster relationships with new and existing retail accounts
  • Enhances customer relationships
  • Actively upsell The Great American Turkey Co. products to existing customers and actively support the regional sales plan as directed
  • Be flexible to support a big sales push or act as back up for other territory reps
  • Be flexible to undertake and/or support any other activity to build brand awareness
  • Participate in regular weekend marketing events
  • Reporting Relationships
  • The Brand Ambassador reports to The Great American Turkey Co. sales team
  • This is an independent, home office-based role, working closely with New York-based HQ and our national broker teams

  • # of and consistency of Store Visits
  • # of Sales Demos and success of Demos
  • Accuracy of In-store Facings

  • Collaboration with/feedback from meat managers and store managers

Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
