Our business operates out of two locations: our headquarters and processing facility in Brewerytown and our retail butcher shop in South Philly. The Primal Supply Meats Butcher’s Club is a pay-as-you-go subscription meat program. This is an important piece of our whole animal business model. Members commit to regular purchasing, which in turn supports our sourcing commitments to our farmers. 

 

As the coordinator of this program, you will organize weekly orders and cut lists for the butcher team, pack weekly boxes, manage ongoing communication with members, and collaborate with the management team to support the operation and growth of the Butcher’s Club program. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organized, care for customer service, and be knowledgeable with computer-based systems operating in Google Drive, Excel, and other online software. Solid communication skills are necessary. 100% commitment to sustaining product and service standards is required. You should be able to work independently and also be comfortable working as part of a team.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan weekly cut and pack lists for subscription and special orders
  • Pack weekly boxes
  • Enter member and package data for weekly reporting
  • Provide customer service for members via email
  • Oversee subscription account management
  • Correspond with host locations
  • Coordinate member newsletters
  • Support members-only Facebook Group
  • Support member events and special programming
  • Support program growth and new host site outreach

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Solid communication and writing skills
  • Fast learner with a strong work ethic
  • Capable operating in computer-based systems such as Google Drive, Excel, and third-party software: Farmigo, Mailchimp, Slack, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Able to stand and work in a cold environment for packaging
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Commitment to local food and sustainable meat production
  • Passion for food and cooking is a plus

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: This position is approximately 30 hours/week with potential for full-time hours and growth. Hourly wage between $14-18/hr will be set depending on experience.
