Outstanding in the Field is currently hiring experienced hospitality staff for our December 6th event at the Faena Hotel in Miami Beach.
We are hiring servers, back servers and dishwashers.
Staff should have experience in the hospitality industry and should be excited and passionate about food and wine.
Staff are responsible for relaying detailed menu knowledge, which will be obtained the day of the event, to the guests.
We are first and foremost a production company that meets with the hospitality industry. We produce and execute a 5 hour event for guests.
All event staff is responsible for helping with the set-up & breakdown of the event, which takes about 3 hours before and about 2 hours after the event itself.
Manual labor is required for set-up and breakdown. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Exposure to the elements and walking on uneven surfaces should be expected. The job requires all staff to work outside and be on your feet for several hours in a row.
OITF pays $18/hr plus time and a half after 8 hours. Working an event with OITF is about an 8 to 10 hour commitment.
Working an event with us would include the following:
Early arrival to site at 8 or 9 AM in set-up attire (you will be working outdoors).
Upon arrival we will unload two trailers:
- “Tables and Chairs Trailer”
- “Stuff Trailer” (all of our bins of equipment)
We will then set up 4 stations:
- Kitchen Station
- Dish Station
- Service Station
- Long Dining Table
After set-up is complete, everyone breaks for lunch, which could be anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how fast we set-up, then they come back dressed for service (ex: button up shirts/blouses, nice pants, jean skirts, flower/sun dresses, sun hats, handkerchiefs around the neck, sensible shoes, etc.), and we roll right into a service meeting with the front of house manager, then a menu meeting with the chef and wine makers where we learn about what we'll be serving for the evening.
Guests start arriving for reception at 1:30PM, and we hold them there for an hour as we serve them cocktails and passed apps. Then they'll sit for a 5-course, wine-paired meal.
After the dinner is over, and as soon as the last guest leaves, we break everything down, pack it all up in our trailers and then move on to the next location.
Staff are assigned to the following positions during the event:
-Parking
-Passed Apps
-Server
-Backserver
-Dishwasher
