• Attentive: Details matter, including how to properly handle food and equipment, station and kitchen organizations and cleanliness and being punctual and prepared at the start of every service
• Positive Outlook and Demeanor: You have the ability to remain calm and up-beat in high pressure situations and follow instructions about daily duties from a chef while keeping a positive attitude

What You Do

• Cook: Alongside the rest of the kitchen staff, you prepare and cook our many delicious dishes offered at our restaurant
• Work Food Safe: You keep your work area clean, while maintaining food safe best practices in all that you prepare
• Have a Passion Cooking and Food: You are excited about working in kitchens and want to learn and grow

What We Need From You

• One to two years’ experience in a NYC kitchen
• Sense of urgency
• Evening and weekend availability
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours and complete tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Passion about kitchens and a desire to learn and grow as a professional cook
• An understanding and adherence to NYC Department of Health food safety policies – an NYC Food Handler’s Certificate is preferred
• Provide at least two professional references
