Company description
Gocciolina is a 60 seat Italian restaurant located in Durham NC. We work closely with local farms and use mostly all NC fish and quality meats. We have a relatively small, easy to read menu that stays mostly the same. We have a large chalkboard which is where we feature 9-12 food and drink specials a night. We are open Tue-Sat for dinner only. We have a full bar heavy on Italian liquors, vermouth and grappa. All our wine is Italian and we work with mostly small production wines. We are a fun place to dine and work. We have a small lounge next-door where guests can have some antipasti and cocktails while they wait for a table on busy nights.
Job description
We are looking for a full time cook with some experience prepping fish, meats and sauces as well as setting up and working the line during service. This position comes in at 1pm and finishes after we close at 10pm. We have a large prep kitchen downstairs where pasta can be prepped during service as well as any other prep really. This space allows us to maintain fresh made to order dishes. We take cooking and food very serious but also like to have fun. There is plenty of room for creativity. Gocciolina is a place where we are always learning from each other as well as from our customers, farmers and fishermen.
