Hu is a high-growth, wellness-focused organization looking for an experienced Procurement Manager who can support the rapid growth of existing and pipeline products. The Procurement Manager will sit within Hu’s Operations team and work closely with our innovation and finance teams to commercialize new products and packaging configurations, streamline processes and reduce costs. There will be moderate travel with this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of all raw ingredients and packaging materials, including demand planning, purchasing (& negotiation), and inventory tracking to ensure full and on-time production
• Evolve supplier relationships to meet ongoing cost and quality expectations and uphold core social and environmental company values over the long term
• Seek constant improvement in all supplier relationships
• Identify and onboard new suppliers that meet our rigorous quality specifications
• Attend annual supplier summits and trade shows

Requirements:

• 3+ years in Procurement-related role, ideally direct sourcing or procurement management within food industry or perishable goods
• Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail
• Skilled in MS Excel and data analysis, experience with NetSuite a plus
